Position:  Non-Executive Director, IT / Business Development / Financial Governance – Position successfully filled

IC24 is a major not-for-profit Social Enterprise Company providing innovative primary care services throughout the South East and East of England. As a solutions-based Enterprise, the organisation has a comprehensive portfolio of services including GP Out-of-Hours Primary Medical Services, NHS 111, Primary Care Support Services, Secondary Care Support, Offender Healthcare Services (Prisons and Custodial Services), IT Solutions, Pharmacy and Medicines Management and Contact Centre Services.

This is a unique and exciting time to join IC24 as a Non-Executive Director. Over the next two years, the landscape of health and social care will change as budgets merge and new forms of integrated services become recognised as the answer to a society needing services that, from within and outside of the NHS, are joined up and intelligently delivered. Someone exceptional is needed to join the Board, providing a strategic perspective on national strategy and policy development, relating to IT, Finance, Commissioning, Corporate Governance and Resource Management. Working closely with the Group Board and Executive Team, you will be have oversight on all matters relating to corporate governance, policies, procedures and resource management to ensure the organisation is as efficient as possible and meets the required NHS standards.

You will bring critical qualities to the Board, constructively challenging and developing proposals on strategy, monitoring the performance of the Executive Directors and bringing the benefit of your experience to the organisation. The role is anticipated to need a time commitment of two or three days per month and travel to Kent and to the various sites within the South East and East of England.
