Position: Sales and Marketing Director – Position successfully filled
Location: Romford, Essex
Coborn is a unique precision engineering Company based in Romford, Essex that designs and manufactures process machinery for the diamond tool and gem industries. They sell their machines globally with over 90% of sales being for export, the largest market being China.
Now is an exciting time for Coborn as they adapt and transform the business, building on their success as a highly respected and awarded manufacturing and engineering firm to develop a services and solutions arm. To support the Executive Team, they are looking for an outstanding Sales and Marketing Director who can support this transformation whilst continuing to grow sales and strengthening Coborn’s brand position.
Over the next two years, the business anticipates significant transformational change, development of both its software and servicing revenue streams, and expansion into new geographical markets. As Sales and Marketing Director, supported by great team of responsive technical professionals, you will be part of the committed, dynamic and progressive leadership team dedicated to executing this challenging growth strategy whilst developing and maintaining the core business.
A large proportion of time will be spent developing Coborn’s marketing and sales presence on the ground, with Agents and both existing and new customers alike. Extensive travel will be required to both established and emerging markets.
You will need to develop and then implement a clear sales and marketing strategy to support the Company’s annual, mid- and long-term business plans, identify opportunities, set revenue targets for the Company and its Agents, manage the sales pipeline, develop and implement the brand whilst developing and maintaining its marketing strategy. In addition, you will be instrumental in defining the Company’s approach to customer support and service as a source of revenue.
To be successful, you will have previous experience working as a Sales and Marketing Director in a similar organisation within the capital equipment sector, with a strong commercial outlook, an entrepreneurial approach to business, a developed understanding of brand and its role as a key business driver and a proven track record of achieving sales growth and delivery of results to business plan.
